Embroidery is a beautiful way to make an everyday object feel special—a sentiment that fits perfectly with this course.  Inspired by traditional Nordic embroidery designs, explore the world of wool-on-wool embroidery with a variety of stitches and learn how to transform the fabric and liner into the miniature purse, along with attaching the kiss clasp like a pro.  The embroidery yarns are from the instructor’s sheep!  All of the steps and techniques featured in this course are great skills to learn if you are eyeing up making a full-scale traditional purse in the future, and we’ll explore beautiful examples from across history and regions as we go.  Students will have the option to select from a variety of wool fabric colors for their project kit.
